Adding Permission Checks when Selecting a Coverer

Adding Permission Checks when Selecting a Coverer

As an administrator, you may want to restrict your users from selecting / finding a coverer. In certain instances, some users (e.g. external users) should not be allowed to list all the Jira users.

Hence, you can now enforce additional restrictions that a user must fulfill before they are allowed to select a coverer.

Log in as a Jira administrator to perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Out of Office Setting via either method

Navigation Bar

Administrator > User Management > Out Of Office Setting > Coverer Permissions

Administration Search Dialog Box

  1. Keyboard shortcut “G” + ”G” on the screen

  2. Input “Out Of Office Setting”

  3. Select “Out Of Office Setting”

  4. Navigate to the Coverer Permissions tab

  1. Select the permissions required by the user in order for them to select a coverer.

    1. By default, none of the options will be checked, so all users will be allowed to select a coverer.

    2. Each user must fulfill all checked permissions in order to select a coverer.

  2. Click on the Update button
