Delete Virus Files

The delete virus file configuration allows administrators to automatically remove any infected files uploaded by the users and a placeholder would be uploaded in place of the infected file.

An auto-generated comment would be posted to inform users that the infected file has removed and a placeholder is uploaded to replace the infected file

This is useful to handle infected files automatically without having to remove the infected files manually.

Delete Virus File Disabled

When the Delete Virus File value is set to disabled, the infected file would not be removed automatically.

A comment would be generated to inform the user that the file they are uploading is infected and would advise them to delete it.

Delete Virus File Enabled

When the Delete Virus File value is set to enabled, the infected would be removed and replaced with a placeholder.

A comment would be generated to inform the user that the infected file they are trying to upload has been removed and replaced with a placeholder as it is infected.

User may delete the placeholder version of the file.


When the user tries to open the infected file, it would be replaced with placeholder looking like this,


In the Attachment page, the placeholder that replaced the infected file is commented to inform user that the file is a placeholder
